In my 58 years I have knowingly met only 5 trans-sexual people. In a time where people's comments are often disproportionate I relate one instance. Of all things we should consider a person's humanity.

This is a light hearted look at the importance of manners past and present and the how these have intermingled with class barriers.

Here I consider the stresses of 24 hour news; relate a tale of how an old farmer was affected by a bad news story; and consider that the solution to avoiding such stress may be the humble newspaper.
